ongoing AP poll study

My ongoing project for the current football year is this: to determine if there is any regional bias affecting the Associated Press Top 25 rankings. My interest was piqued when I read the AP's guidelines to its voters, which include telling them expressly not to include such a bias in their ballot. It seems like they shouldn't have to be told that; I suspect that guideline exists to calm the public, which harbors a suspicion.
